Preambulo/ Preamble

Nosotros, miembros bautizados de la Iglesia de Cristo, respondiendo en fe a la llamada del Espíritu Santo, a través del Evangelio, y a nuestro compromiso como misioneros de la Iglesia Evangélica Luterana en América, Sínodo del Caribe, deseamos unirnos para llevar el mensaje de la Palabra de Cristo Jesús, donde quiera que nos envíen, en el Nombre del Padre, del Hijo y del Espíritu Santo.

We, baptized members of the Church of Christ, responding in faith to the call of the Holy Spirit, through the Gospel, and to our commitment like missionaries of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, Caribbean Synod, we want to together take the message of Jesus Christ's Word , where he sends us, in the name of the Father, the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Que es ALUMI/What is ALUMI

Es la Asociación Luterana de Misioneros, incorporada en el Departamento de Estado de Puerto Rico, el 30 de mayo de 2007, como organización religiosa, sin fines de lucro.

The Lutheran Association of Missionaries, incorporated in the Department of State of Puerto Rico, May 30 of 2007, as a non profit religious organization.

Propósito/Purpose

El propósito de ALUMI es la proclamación de la Palabra del Evangelio a través del cumplimiento de nuestras responsabilidades como misioneros de la Iglesia Evangélica Luterana, donde quiera que nos envíe el Sínodo del Caribe en el Distrito de Puerto Rico.

The purpose of ALUMI is the proclamation of the Word of the Gospel through the execution of our responsibilities like missionaries of the Evangelical Lutheran Church, wherever the Caribbean Synod wants to send us in the District of Puerto Rico.

Misión/Mission

Ser un instrumento comprometido en el establecimiento de Misiones en el Distrito de Puerto Rico y dar apoyo al Programa de Alcance Misionero.
To be a committed instrument in the establishment of Missions in the District of Puerto Rico and to give support to the Outreach Program.

Visión/Vision

Ser la Organización que incorpore la mayor cantidad de líderes luteranos comprometidos e involucrados en llevar las Buenas Nuevas de Cristo al pueblo de Puerto Rico.

To be the Organization that incorporates the biggest quantity of committed and involved Lutheran leaders in taking the Good News of Christ to the people of Puerto Rico.

Valores/Values

1. Comprometidos en nuestra Fe e Identidad Luterana caminaremos siguiendo las Sagradas Escrituras para instruir a aquellos que aún no la conocen.
Committed in our Faith and Lutheran Identity we will walk following the Holy Scriptures to instruct those that still don't know them.

2. Fieles a la Grandeza de la Santísima Trinidad y a su Gracia seremos modelos del mensaje que predicamos.
Faithful to the Greatness of the Holy Trinity and its Grace we will be models of the message that we preach.

3. Siguiendo a Cristo como Nuestro Centro y nuestro Norte trabajaremos fielmente, junto al Programa de Alcance Misionero cumpliendo con la Gran Comisión de llevar la Palabra de Cristo donde quiera que nos envíen.

Following Christ as Our Center and our North, we will work faithfully, jointed with the Outreach Program fulfilling the Great Commission of taking Christ's Word wherever we are sent.

Requisitos y Deberes de los Miembros/ Requirements and Duties of the Members

Hay dos clases de miembros; estos son:/ There are two kind of members; these are:

Miembros Activos: / Active Members

* Personas certificadas por la Escuela de Laicos y/o Escuela de Misioneros, misioneros bendecidos, misioneros y/o candidatos con cursos de la Escuela de Laicos o Escuela de Misioneros y miembros votantes de la Iglesia Evangélica Luterana en América, Sínodo del Caribe, Distrito de Puerto Rico.

People certified by the School of Lay and/or School of Missionaries, blessed missionaries, missionaries and/or candidates with courses of the School for Lay or School of Missionaries and voting members of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, Caribbean Synod, District of Puerto Rico.

* Demuestran compromiso con la Asociación y su misión.
Demonstrate commitment with the Association and its mission

* Participan activamente en los Comités, las Asambleas anuales o extraordinarias.
participate actively in the Committees, the annual or extraordinary Assemblies.

* Tienen voz y voto.

They have voice and vote.

Grupos de Apoyo/ Groups of Support

* Miembros de Organizaciones del Sínodo (MJL, OMIEL,MIELA) sin cursos de Misioneros.
Members of Organizations of the Synod (MJL, OMIEL,MIELA) without Missionary courses.

* Tienen voz sin voto.

They have voice but cannot vote.

Significado del Logo/ Meaning of the Logo

* El logo tiene forma circular, conteniendo en el centro unas manos con unas semillas dejando caer las mismas al suelo; significando las manos de los misioneros llevando la Palabra y el propósito que es Sembrando las Buenas Nuevas.

The logo has a circular form, containing in the center some hands with some seeds allowing them to fall to the floor; meaning the hands of the missionaries taking the Word and the purpose that is Sowing the Good News.

* En la parte superior una cruz y una paloma blanca; significando Cristo como nuestro Centro y Norte y la paloma representa el Espíritu Santo, dándonos la fortaleza y sabiduría necesaria para cumplir el gran mandato de Jesús.

In the superior part a cross and a white dove; meaning Christ as our Center and North and the dove represents the Holy Spirit, giving us the strength and necessary wisdom to complete Jesus' great command.

* El fondo es color azúl claro, representando la inmensidad del cielo, la armonía, optimismo, serenidad y sosiego que el conocimiento de Cristo nos da.

The bottom is color clear blue, representing the immensity of the sky, the harmony, optimism, and serenity that Christ's knowledge gives us.

* El nombre de la Organización está en la parte exterior superior, y en la parte inferior las siglas de ALUMI.

The name of the Organization is in the external superior part, and in the inferior part the initials of ALUMI.
